Tuesday’s client meeting offered a opportunity to have insight into the private club culture here in London. I met with my business partners and an important client at The Home House in Portman Square in London, the most exclusive private club in London. I would describe it as seroiusly decadente with a definite touch of cool! I would imagine this is a great place to chill out on a Sunday afternoon or to have dinner on a summer evening in the garden, but definitely the right place to take the clients you want to impress. It is such a change from the usual minimalist design of many establishments, very classy. I am definitely considering joining, …. and the food… wow, top notch, Gordon Ramsey, watch out. This is a place you could easily call “home”.

Opening up the news this morning, I thought to myself,how bad can it get? The summer is gone, the weather is absolutely abysmal with rain and storms battering our seafront like in the middle of October. The country is on its way into a serious recession caused by the world’s global economy going straight down the pits. Apparently there is even a global food shortage on its way, hmmmm…. that will at least take care of one problem …the obesity crisis

This is one man’s answer to the threat of Global warming. The 21st century Noah’s Ark if you like, called a Lilypad. It could house as much a 50.000 “climate refugees”. The artificial island includes a lake, mountains, shopping malls and drifts on the ocean currents. The designer Belgian Vicente Callebaut has created something really spectacular and hopefully this will provoke people to become even more environmentally conscious.

Most of my friends and family, to whom this blog is aimed, use the Danish term for the Blog, “Bloggen”, when they refer to my site. I thought it could be quite fun to restyle the blog to actually reflect that. For all you Flickr fans out there, yeah, yeah… I know I have styled the CSS to have a “Flickr feel”, that is on purpose, you all know what a massive fan I am of that site and that I want more of you to join our little community on Flickr. We are still hoping to persuade more of our friends and family to join in and share pictures from home and out and about, on this amazing social network tool.
